Corecon, Inc. is an American based and operated company providing the material handling industry with quality Automatic Guided Vehicle Systems and support. Corecon was formed by a number of leading engineers from the Automatic Guided Vehicle industry in 1989. Several were involved in the design, manufacture and installation of the largest AGV system in North America at that time, located in Oshawa, Canada with over a thousand vehicles in the fleet.

In the course of its growth, Corecon has moved to larger facilities four times in the western suburbs of Chicago and is currently located in Sandwich, IL. All engineering and assembly is done out of this location. We are currently expanding our office space, in Sandwich, due to the growth in engineering and production departments.

In 2004 we introduced our Falcon line of vehicle systems. Based on solid engineering solutions, it provides safe and reliable automated handling of materials. This unit combines a low maintenance design, with a swing out cabinet construction and effective utilization of industry standard components for ease of service. This vehicle has a wide range of attachments that allow for it being used in a number of different industry applications.

In 2005 we expanded our sales and marketing staff to handle the growing interest and need in the AGV market. Currently all sales are handled out of Sandwich, IL. The newest addition to our family of vehicles is the Eagle Line, which is used for smaller tow and parts handling systems. These vehicles are designed for ease of installation and maintenance and are cost effective for a variety of industrial applications.


We have a full staff of seasoned AGV professionals including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers along with AGV assemblers, field service, installation personnel, spare parts and repair personnel.

Corecon offers a complete line of standard AGVs and control systems as well as our customized applications. Standard vehicles utilize current state of the art system features including modular PC board technology and a wide array of contact and next-generation no contact safety and obstacle avoidance systems.

We are most widely known and respected for our highly individualized customized AGV systems. Vehicle design, software development, plant layout and work flow analysis are hallmarks of our 18 years of success.


The proprietary software and control system used in our AGV applications include a unique and proprietary user interface for easy and intuitive user-initiated changes and maintenance routines. Our years of custom integrated system installations means Corecon’s AGV systems will integrate and interface perfectly with existing processes and equipment. Utilizing either operator initiated calls or automated sensing, Corecon vehicles are designed to seamlessly interface with pick-up or drop-off locations and position the load accurately.

Our equipment designs take advantage of off the shelf parts, allowing our customers flexibility and ease of maintenance. Approximately 85% or more of the parts fall into this category.
