Overview

The Eagle E275 Imperceptible Motion® AGV is an automated tugger designed for a moving assembly line. This AGV is capable of moving so slowly that it is not easily perceived moving with the naked eye. Minimum velocity is 1 inch /minute with velocity accuracy within one percent. This low speed allows for intricate assembly processes to be efficiently performed on the moving assembly line. Deficiencies in assembly workstations can be easily identified and corrected with the slow speed of the AGV line during startup of a production line. As productivity increases, the line speed of the AGV system can be adjusted automatically to match the pace of assembly process. The Tow AGV is capable of towing loads of up to 12,000 lbs.

A bidirectional single drive unit allows for a great deal of flexibility in movement
and speed. The single wheel suspension keeps the drive wheel in contact with
the floor at all times. All wheels feature extra thick polyurethane tread for long
life and noiseless operation. Electro-mechanical brakes are included as an
integral part of the permanent magnet motor and sealed gearbox assembly.

Each Eagle E275 Tow Line AGV is equipped with a 36 or 48 volt battery system. The Automated Tugs mounted slow-down sensors monitor obstructions while the vehicle is in motion.
